Caregivers First
The goal of “Caregivers First” is to provide education about resources and topics that are important to caregivers who, because of their time limitations and lack of transportation, cannot attend community seminars and education.
SCAN is working in conjunction with Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey in a variety of ways to enhance the lives of seniors and Caregivers striving to remain independent. This is a new division for SCAN; SCAN will continue to enhance the information and resources that are available. National demographics for caregivers can be found here.
Some of the things that we are doing now include “Caregivers First” which is a ½ hour show that is produced by SCAN and hosted by Lavelle Jones, AARP NJ State President.
